Sheffield University are going to be holding guest lectures from Richard Walker and Jen Smith on Thursday 04/12 at 18:30 – ~20:30 in The Diamond LT8. This event is open to all students/ BSAC members in the local area!
We would love to see as many people as possible so we would really appreciate if you could advertise this event to your clubs to see if anyone is interested. This lecture is completely free (the same talk was charged £18 at the Go Dive Show) and is open to absolutely everyone!

If you don’t know, Richard Walker is an underwater explorer with extensive experience in Cave Diving, Wreck Exploration and Marine Conservation. He has joined countless projects to explore and survey underwater wrecks and caves. Richard is the chairman of the Ghost Fishing charity who retrieve and recover lost/discarded fishing equipment to preserve the underwater environment.
Jen Smith is a serving Officer in the Royal Navy, she has deployed on multiple operations around the world. A keen technical diver, she has been involved in numerous projects to locate and identify Royal Navy wrecks, as well as conducting licensed surveys of Controlled Sites. To preserve their heritage, Jen works with teams of volunteer divers to record these poignant sites, to ensure their status as 
a war grave is respected and the memory of their loss is not forgotten.
