Lundy Island is a very picturesque (and small) inhabited island in the UK.
Diving will be very scenic reefs and a small number of historic wrecks in the Lundy No-Take Zone. Max depth will be 30m, with most diving 12-25m. Ideal for Advanced Ocean Divers. Sea temps will be ~16 degrees. Diving will be from a large hard boat with a diver lift. Air fills will be on land, so two cylinders required per day.
Accommodation is Millcombe House (https://www.landmarktrust.org.uk/properties/millcombe-house/) with 4 WC’s, large communal kitchen, dining room and sitting room. Sleeps 12 divers in 2 single rooms, 3 twin rooms, and 2 doubles. Accommodation is exclusive to the group.
There is a small village nearby with a pub/restaurant and general store (we would also need to bring some of our own supplies from the mainland). Note that there is weak phone coverage on the island.
Day 0 Fri 6hrs by car (from Barnsley) with an overnight stay needed near the boat harbour (not costed)
Day 1 Sat Morning transfer by boat to the island accommodation, then afternoon diving
Day 2 Sun Diving
Day 3 Mon Diving
Day 4 Tues Diving
Day 5 Weds Diving
Day 6 Thurs Morning diving (possibly), then transfer back to the mainland and home
*Cost of the charter and accommodation based on 12 divers is £890 each (excluding the one overnight stay, food, travel and air fills).* This may increase slightly dependent on any significant rises in boat fuel cost.
