Hi All
Well it’s not much of a training plan as there is no training this week.
However instead we have arranged a presentation by Sir Paul Tarn on the subject of decompression for divers.
Most of us have not done a dive requiring decompression yet at the same time dreamed of diving the deeper wrecks – Scapa Flow comes to mind so this is the chance to hear from practical experience what ii is all about and what it entails
His presentation will a mix of decompression theory followed by a practical look of how dive computers work along side the use software and how gradient factors enter into your decompression obligation. Using real software we will then plan a dive on the legendary WW1 battleship SMS Markgraf currently lying on the bottom of Scapa Flow at a depth of around 45m.
For those interested a look at accelerated decompression procedures which is a BSAC Skill Development Course and the possibility of running one.
Now we expect this to be a popular presentation so it would help greatly if you could indicate if you are attending – and I encourage as many as can to do so – so that we can have the room prepared
Finally please note that this presentation will be held in the back of the Rigby Bar and will begin at 7:45pm prompt
See you all Tuesday
Dave
