A BIG well-done to both Doug and Iona for qualifying as BSAC Ocean Divers in less-than-ideal conditions at Stoney Cove!
Expectations of the water conditions were always fairly low – Stony’s own website declaring “Conditions for the 17th August – Visibilty 2-4m. Surface temp 18°C. Conditions green“. Seriously Stoney, you need to start putting some Domestos in the water or something!
On the positive side, it definitely counts as a low viz dive for Doug and Iona’s qualification books which gives them each one of the four qualifying diving conditions required for their Ocean Diver badge.
So, congratulations Doug and Iona – hope to see you both on club dives soon!
