Greetings Divers,
I’m testing interest for a potential dive trip to the Isle of Arran in 2024 – Sunday 9th June – Friday 14th June. This is for 8 places on the fast RIB run by Jason Coles of Wreckspeditions. We have used Jason previously – he is one of the best charter boat skippers in the UK.
You’ll need to be on the island Saturday 8th June to Saturday 15th June in or near to Lamlash. I’m leaving folks to arrange their own accommodation and ferry. The diving is £375 (2 dives per day Sunday to Friday). Return ferry for two persons and one car was £51 last month (Ardrossan to Brodick).
Having recently holidayed on Arran, and having chatted with a dive group whilst there, I can report that the South Arran Marine Protected Area is reportedly ‘spectacular’ with clear waters (this includes dives around the Pladda lighthouse and Ailsa Craig).
Diving will generally be between 5-35m with various sites offering scenic diving and lots of scattered wreckage. Consequently you must be a minimum of Advanced Ocean Diver with at least 12 logged sea dives.
Please let me know your interest.
