It’s about time for an update on this trip. So far 22 people have registered their interest in the trip but only 15 have paid their deposit.

Ideally we can have 24 divers on Glad Tidings VIII comfortably so I need to know how many places are yet to be filled. All those who have paid their deposit have their place guaranteed. All those who have not yet paid a deposit, I’d be grateful if you would let me know if you are still wanting a place and confirm this by paying the deposit (£50) to the club’s bank account.If there are still spaces left by the start of June (6 weeks before the trip) I will offer them to members of DVD.
To recap the details of the trip, we will be going out from Seahouses on William Shiel’s boat Glad Tidings VIII on both Saturday and Sunday for two dives each day, usually in the morning so hopefully there will be time in the afternoons to enjoy the Northumbrian scenery and castles. The dive sites will be chosen by the skipper each day according to the tides and currents but ALL the dives will be suitable for both Ocean Divers as well as more experienced divers of course. The cost of the diving will be £60 per diver per day, so a total of £120 for both days diving plus the cost of air fills. In addition to this you will have to book your own accommodation for Friday and Saturday nights, preferably in Seahouses but your search could spread out to Beadnell or other surrounding villages as long as you have transport to get you into Seahouses each morning.
