Greetings Divers – Trevor has identified a Egypt shore diving trip in October 2023. The proposal is as follows:
- Date – 16-23 October 2023
- Fly – Manchester to Hurgharda
- Stay – Coral Garden Resort near Safaga. Half Board. Probably not ideal for non-diving partners.
- Dive – with Orca Dive club (on site).
- Operator – Booking with Regal Dive.
Package includes 10 house reef dives. Free nitrox for those qualified.
- Price – Sharing £1195 Single £1280
- Extras – you will need to pay for lunch and drinks.
We can dive for 6 days, so perhaps allow up to £200 for additional dives, and dives off-site by jeep or boat. Package includes flights, 20 kg, transfers, half board accommodation and 10 dives. The location is a bay with access close to the dive centre. The house reef has a sea grass area bounded by coral reefs to either side and looks quite interesting.
Open to all qualified divers. Note that you will need to dive with a computer, and you need to have 30 logged dives to dive the house reef unguided. (A personal guide will cost 25 Euros per dive.) There is nearly a year to clock up your dives, so you should aim to have 30 if you want to go. Trevor is booking for Linda, David P, Ann and himself very soon. Deposit is £450. It is a small, diver orientated hotel, so the number of rooms is limited (about 32). You can leave it til later to book, but you would risk not getting a room.
